The sun always shines on the St. Paul Rodeo!

Okay, not always. Maybe not even most of the time. But it was a beautiful weekend to celebrate the town’s rodeo tradition this year, with events through the week culminating in the colourful parade on Saturday.

And, of course, the rodeo itself.

Not all events were directly rodeo-related, but the combination of Rodeo Week, Rock The Block, and Alberta Culture Days offered plenty of activities and entertainment.

Rock The Block ran on Wednesday with sidewalk sales downtown and live performances at Lions Park. For Alberta Culture Days, the St. Paul Arts Council offered workshops, and a show with live music and a mini-film festival.

Pancake breakfasts, hot dog barbecues, an artisan market, and more rounded out the events and activities.

The highlight was the LRA/WRA rodeo presented by the St. Paul Ag Society. Events were held in the Ag Barn and livestreamed to overflow seating in the CAP Arena.
